Probably Should Have Looked Into That

Here is another example of how no matter how clear a law is, people will still find a way to break it. There is stupid, and stupid, but this lovely lady from Georgia, is stupid.

A pregnant 37-year-old Georgia woman who eloped with a 15-year-old boy was in jail on charges of child molestation, authorities in the southern state said on Tuesday.

Lisa Lynnette Clark was arrested last week in Hall County, Georgia a day after a judge married her and the unidentified teenager. Clark was being jailed in Gainesville, about 50 miles
northeast of Atlanta.

Clark and the teen had a sexual relationship, perhaps for as long as two years, according to the Hall County Sheriff's Department, which is investigating the case. Clark's marriage to the boy does not protect her from prosecution, police said.

Under Georgia law, teenagers may marry as long as they are at least 16 and have the permission of a parent or guardian. Those restrictions are waived, however, when a female applicant is pregnant.

In a statement, the judge who issued the marriage license said she had complied with state law.

Wait are you saying that we could have gotten married when we knocked up our babysitter at age 11? Oh wait, you have to be from Georgia? Well, that sucks for us, and our 17 year-old daughter from Connecticut. We love you Chrsytal.

A Sad Day...

Fencing with Archers is sad to report that one of the greatest shows ever produced for television is most likely going off the air. Let's have a moment of silence and a DVD marathon once you finish reading this story.

The Bluth clan of Fox's ratings-challenged "Arrested Development" is also headed for the exit after Fox cut the third-season order on the Emmy-winning comedy to 13 episodes. Also getting the ax at Fox is "Arrested's" companion on Monday, the freshman comedy "Kitchen Confidential," whose order will not be extended beyond the initial 13 episodes.

As for the demise of "Arrested," it comes just as the acclaimed comedy came back this week after a hiatus to make room for Fox's baseball coverage. The two back-to-back episodes averaged a paltry 4 million viewers Monday, sending Fox to fifth place in the 8 p.m. hour and putting a dent on the ratings of its lead-out, the rookie drama "Prison Break."

There is a possibility that the show will be shopped around, but its high cost is expected to be prohibitive for a cable network.Fox said Thursday that it will pull "Arrested Development" and "Kitchen Confidential" off the schedule for the remaining three Mondays of the November sweep, replacing them with a rerun of the previous episode of "Prison Break" leading into an original episode of the serialized drama.

"Arrested" and "Kitchen" are set to return to their time slots with original episodes December 5, following the fall finale of "Prison Break" on November 28.

At least "Prison Break" is good. Let's pray that "The Office" isn't next.

Are You Ready For Some Football!

We have found yet another reason why Tampa, Fla is such a great place to be. Well, here's the first reason, besides the Buccaneers.

Two Carolina Panthers cheerleaders who allegedly were having sex with each other in a bathroom stall at a Tampa, Fla., nightclub were arrested and charged early Sunday following a run-in with patrons and police.

According to a police report obtained by the Charlotte Observer, 22-year-old Kristen Lanier Owen (see above) and 26-year-old Angela Ellen Keathley were arrested following an incident at Banana Joe's, in Tampa's Channelside district, at 2:10 a.m. ET.

The police report claims Owen and Keathley were having sex with each other in a stall when other patrons grew angry that the two were taking so long in the bathroom.

Owen and another person began arguing and Owen hit that person in the face, according to the report. Keathley, who was escorted from the nightclub, was so drunk she could barely stand, the report said. Police described Keathley as rude and belligerent with police.

Owen was charged with battery and Keathley was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Other Panthers cheerleaders bailed Owen and Keathley out of the Orient Road Jail late Sunday morning, the Observer reported.

The cheerleaders made the trip to Tampa on their own -- the squad is on the sideline only at home games. Panthers officials at Sunday afternoon's game said they were aware of the report, but declined further comment when contacted by the Observer.

According to the Panthers' official team Web site on NFL.com, Keathley is a registered nurse and second-year member of the TopCats. Owen is listed as a student at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and first-year member of the cheerleading squad.

Um, we usually have some sort of great little quip at the end of these little stories, but c'mon, two women having sex in public? We do it all the time, but we thought we would give some of the men who read us something to think about, because we don't think about sex enough.
